From the moment I stepped into Suitehotel Gulde Schoen, it was clear that this was no ordinary hotel stay. It’s not every day that one gets to stay at a hotel owned by the family of the renowned soccer player, Moussa Dembélé.

But more than the allure of its celebrity connection, the Gulde Schoen stands out as a true testament to luxury and elegance in the heart of historic Antwerp.

Location, Location, Location

Perfectly nestled in central Antwerp, the hotel’s location is nothing short of ideal. The historic vibes of the city are palpable, and it’s a stone’s throw away from some of the most iconic landmarks.

Whether you’re in the mood for a daytime exploration or a nighttime adventure, the Gulde Schoen’s location makes everything conveniently accessible.

Suite 09 – A Dreamy Haven

I had the pleasure of staying in Suite 09, a split-level suite located on the 2nd level, and it was nothing short of a dream. The suite offers a captivating front side view that allows you to soak in the city’s charm. The bright, separate living room exudes elegance with its light wooden cabinets wall and the unique Catellani & Smith design lamps.

The centerpiece of the living space is undoubtedly the Moroso abbey stone grey sofa, adorned with soft pink rose cushions. It’s the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring the city. The higher level houses the bedroom, where contemporary design meets comfort. The glass-walled bathroom was a bold touch, complete with a walk-in power shower that’s perfect for rejuvenation.

The suite’s overall design palette is an aesthetic delight. With tones and hints of natural cream and golden touches, coupled with oak grey marble, the space evokes a sense of calm and luxury. The subtle hints of abbey grey and soft pink rose throughout the suite added a touch of warmth and sophistication.

A Morning Delight

One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. There’s nothing quite like starting the day with fresh fruits and artisan bread, especially when you’re surrounded by the serene ambiance of the hotel’s ground floor garden view. It’s a moment of pure bliss, a melding of flavors and sights that encapsulates the essence of a perfect morning.

Final Thoughts

Suitehotel Gulde Schoen isn’t just a hotel; it’s an experience, a harmonious blend of luxury, history, and modern design. From the moment you step in to the time you bid goodbye, it promises a stay that’s memorable in every sense of the word. If you ever find yourself in Antwerp, the Gulde Schoen is a luxurious haven that shouldn’t be missed.
